Who's Glory?

Read 1Cor. 1:27-2:5! In this passage, Paul states how God 'chooses foolish things to confuse the wise' and 'the weak to confuse the mighty' all so that we would see Him! We are nothing, we can do nothing, except if God allows it. Paul goes on to say, "He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord." When Paul came to speak at Corinth, he says he didn't have excellent speech and wasn't real smart. But he focused on what mattered....GOD, and His purpose for Paul being there was to share "Jesus Christ"! Paul admits that he was weak, in fear, and had MUCH trembling, but he still went and did Gods will, and he was only able to do it because it wasn't about Paul, and it definitely wasn't his ability, it was totally God presenting Himself through Paul! And since Paul was so 'lowly', it enabled the people's faith there that it "should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God."!!
God uses small, and insignificant things, to show His power! Next time you think the world sees you as insignificant, think that,....the world can THEN see how GREAT your God is! And next time you are tempted to glory in yourself, remember what God does for you, and that it's only through HIS power and mercy that you just took that one breath!......And that one....and that one....! Get the point?! We need to give all the glory and praise to God, Rom 2:29 says, "...praise is not of men, but of God"! Realize that you can do nothing without Him,  and start leaning on Him. I have been realizing how important it is to get a walk with God!! Start praising Him...it will make you a more thankful people!!

Challenge: Today or even for this week, when you are praised, thanked, and recognized for something you've done, give that praise to God, and think how you could've done that thing without Him!  You will very soon learn, that....without Him, it is impossible! We serve a Great God, I'm so thankful for the opportunity to be in service to Him...may I give all the glory to God, and may others see not me, but CHRIST through me!
